Care and cleaning of VIA panels is simple. Use the VIA soft soap or tile soap. Cleaning with a moisturising soap not only makes the floor clean, it also builds up a beautiful and protective patina. Coarser dirt can be removed from the VIA cement tiles with a "Glitzi" sponge and scouring powder, for example, or with the so-called "cleaning stone". Acidic cleaners such as vinegar cleaner or citric acid should be avoided.
Soft soap
Every cleaning process consists of cleaning and maintenance. Similar to other calcareous coverings, acids roughen the surface. It is therefore important to ensure that the cleaning effect is not achieved with acidic cleaning agents, but with alkaline, slightly moisturising agents.
VIA soft soap gives your floor the daily care it needs.
Traditionally, terrazzo floors were cleaned with a moisturising soft soap - soft soap contributes to floor care through natural moisturising.
Scouring powder can also be used to remove coarse dirt.
Polishing pads
All protection and impregnation is limited. It is best to remove stains immediately. If a stain has actually been caused by prolonged exposure to e.g. lemon juice, red wine, tomatoes, etc., polishing with a diamond pad may help to conceal the stain.
Diamond polishing pads can be used to polish the surface and achieve the desired degree of lustre. They can also be used to refurbish floors that have been around for a century. Diamond polishing pads are floor cleaning discs that are fitted with countless microscopic diamonds and clean and polish the floor mechanically - using only water.
For polishing even older floors, the VIA online shop offers customised sets of polishing pads with different grit sizes.
Important:
Please ensure that the pads are fitted correctly on the machine! The marked side must face upwards.
The surface must be moistened; the pads have no polishing effect when used dry.
VIA polishing pads can be found underAccessories in the online shop.
