The maintenance and cleaning of the VIA plates is easy. You take the VIA lubricating soap or plate soap. Cleaning with a greasing soap not only cleans the floor, it also builds up the beautiful and protective patina. Greater dirt can be removed from the VIA cement tiles, for example with a "Glitzi" foam and scratch powder or also with the so-called "cleaning stone". What should urgently be avoided are acidic cleaning agents, such as vinegar cleaning or citric acid.
Soft Soap
Every cleaning process consists of cleaning and care. Similar to other limestone coatings, acids dry up the surface. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the cleaning effect is not achieved by acidic cleaning agents, but by alkaline, slightly greasing agents.
The VIA lubricating soap gives your floor the daily care it needs.
Traditionally, terrace floors have been cleaned with a lubricating soap – lubrication soap contributes to soil care by means of a natural re-lubrication.
To eliminate gross contamination, scratch powder can also be used.
Polishing Pads
Protection and impregnation are limited. It is best to remove stains immediately. If a stain has indeed been caused by prolonged exposure to, for example, lemon juice, red wine, tomatoes, etc., polishing with a diamond pad may help to conceal the stain.
Diamond polishing pads can be used to polish the surface to the desired shine. Even floors that are a century old can be refurbished. Diamond polishing pads are floor cleaning discs with countless microscopic diamonds that mechanically clean and polish the floor using only water.
To polish even older floors, the VIA Online Shop offers matching sets of polishing pads with different grit sizes:
Important:
Please ensure that the pads are mounted on the correct side of the machine! The labelled side must face upwards.
The surface must be moistened, the pads have no polishing effect when used dry.
VIA polishing pads can be found in the Online Shop under accessories
