At a time when individuality, sustainability and design quality play central roles in architecture and interior planning, VIA Material is setting new trends in floor design with MyTerrazzo. The innovative system enables the development of customised terrazzo floors - precisely crafted, functionally resilient and aesthetically versatile. It is based on a proven, purely mineral formula inspired by 15th century Venetian lime terrazzo: lime as a binding agent, combined with marble powder and high-quality chippings.
VIA Material will be presenting innovative and sustainable building products for architecture and design at Ambiente 2025. The focus will be on the new VIA pur plain tiles and the recycled terrazzo, which has been honoured with the "German Design Award 2025" in gold, among others. This award will be presented on 7 February 2025 at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt.
VIA Material promises nothing less than the renaissance of paving slabs with its paving slabs, which are suitable for terraces, paths and other outdoor areas. They combine traditional craftsmanship with modern production standards and are characterised by their high resistance as well as versatile application possibilities for both private and public construction projects.
VIA Material is one of the winners of the German Design Award 2025. The gold award for the recycled terrazzo launched in 2024 in the "Excellent Product Design - Building and Elements" category emphasises the outstanding design quality of the product. An international jury of experts also selected the product for its pioneering role in the construction industry.
Hot asphalt, the smell of rubber and petrol, pure adrenaline - this is how the Nürburgring can be described, a sacred place for many motorsport fans. As an official licence partner of the Nürburgring , VIA brings the fascination of the world's longest permanent race track to the fans. Material from demolished sections of the track is recycled and incorporated into the material for the limited terrazzo collections. Whether for the garage, the hall of a motor show or for private or business fleets: there could not be a more suitable floor covering for car enthusiasts than this "relic" of motor racing.
Reusing materials and returning them to the raw material cycle using the cradle-to-cradle principle is not just a trend, but is fundamentally important for shaping our future. In the construction sector, the challenge is that many parts are made of different and often firmly bonded materials, making the circular principle difficult to implement. VIA has been producing seamless terrazzo, which is free of cement and epoxy resin, for many years. It is therefore a material that has always been recyclable - now VIA is going one step further and producing terrazzo with materials that have already been recycled.
